Bright ball of light visible for 5 seconds, slowly faded away
On the evening of October 20th, 2010, around 5:30 in the evening. The sun was close to setting. It was a very bright, clear, cloudless sky. To the right of the sun, I noticed a bright, ball-shaped spot of light. At first I thought to myself "Is this Jupiter?" because it's been visible in the sky at night all during the summer. But then the light starting fading away and within 5 seconds, it was as if it was never thee at all. Another thing: there was a regular airplane high in the sky at the same time that day, there was the tell-tale contrail of smoke left behind it. There was no smoke around this ball of light at all. Looking back on it I can describe it as seeing something reflecting the bright sunlight off of it's surface. This makes the second time that I've seen and reported something strange and unexplained in the sky.
