Cylinder seen disappearing over P.A.R.I. in Rosman, NC
I was standing on the deck of trailer at he end of Craven Lane in Rosman, N.C. I looked up towards the mountaintop cross the French Broad river and saw movement in the sky southwest of me towards the P.A.R.I. station on highway 215.
There were no clouds or birds flying over me. The sky over head was a bright autumn blue and absolutely empty.
A silver or gray cylinder was moving left across the mountaintop. At first, I thought I was observing a jet from the rear when I noticed there were no wings.
It rotated slightly and the sun glinted off the bottom of the craft. It didn't grow smaller like a plane flying away from you. The cylinder just moved southwest and disappeared.
If you held your thumb up in the sky as a reference, the craft would have been as wide as your thumbnail.
At no time did I hear any sound.
The whole episode lasted about fifteen seconds. This was as real as if you were watching a small airplane just fly a short distance and then watc! h it wink out of sight.
I am a 56 year old woman not given to flights of fancy and have never seen anything like this before in my life.
