Saw large, southbound, silent, black, flying triangle with lights with friend while camping on cumberland island.
I was camping on Cumberland Island National Seashore overnight with two of my friends, when my friend and I decided to go for a walk on the beach since my other friend went to sleep. The bach was almost absolutely dark due to the lack of artificial light on the island.
We were walking along the beach when we noticed a low flying aircraft flying over us. The aircraft was a large black triangular craft with a light fixed on each "point" of the triangle and one in the center. The craft was flying relatively low, made no sound, and was headed due south towards Jacksonville.
Myself Being a skeptic, I tried to make sense of what we were seeing. The craft didn't match any aircraft I had seen (myself being rather familiar with the variety of aircraft flown around the world). It was flying slowly, giving us ample time to study it, and when we realized it didn't look like any known terrestrial aircraft, we were in shock. About 45 minutes later we saw it again through an opening in the trees, flying over our campsite, again silent and headed southward.
Now mind you directly across the westward shore of the island is the Kingsbay submarine base, and another base is located in Jacksonville. I know what I saw was unlike any aircraft openly known, be it terrestrial or not, but it's always possible that it originated from one of the local military bases.
