2010-08-10 - North Myrtle Beach, SC - Light

This was an orange ball of light just over the Atlantic Ocean near the shore and just below the night stars. The lights were larger than a star in size and smaller than a moon or even a visible planet.

My husband is a pilot and familiar with aircraft and he has not seen anything of this type before. The lights would appear and then disappear at random sometime three were visible at once and sometimes they all disappeared and then one might reappear.

We consider it a phenomenon or something we are not familiar with.

We had 6 people total who witnessed this. There was not any noise associated with these lights.
