2010-07-04 - Russellville, AR - Light

bright orange glow that moved across the tree line for 10 minutes

i was coming home that evening from a friends house, while i was coming down my street i looked to the west and saw what i thought was the moon, i said to myself man the moon is really orange tonight, when i arrived at my home i got out and went around back to get a better look, what i saw was above the tree line it was bright orange maybe a 100 yards or more away, the light or orb slowly was moving to the north along the tree line, it was to low and to slow to be an airplane, i went around to the front of the house and followed it down my street until i lost sight of the object, i have not seen anything like this before and i can not explain what the light was. my daughter who is 14 was at her mothers across town that night, i talked with her the next day, i did not tell her about the light, but she brought up saying her and a friend saw a strange light in the sky around the same time, same color and description as i saw, i do not have proof of what i seen ! but this was real, my belief is these objects or things may show up on the fourth of july because of all the fireworks in the night sky, i do believe that what i saw was not an aircraft,fireworks or any type of balloon it moved at a regular pace did not move up or down.
