2010-05-01 - San Carlos, CA - Triangle

I can't explain what i saw but it is the first time in my life i saw something that i couldn't make up a story about.

I was driving back home, north bound up hwy 280 at around 1am from a friend’s house in Santa Clara which is about 25 miles south from where I live. There was hardly any traffic in the south bound lanes so I didn’t have any vision problems from on- coming traffic. I’m very observant of my surrounds and even the sky. The pacific coast is to my left as I’m driving north ans I was looking up at the sky and I noticed to my left at 10 O’clock high, I saw this bright green object hovering and it was stationary and it was like a fluorescent color.i was looking back and forth from the hwy to up at the object and then it moved in a straight line because when it moved, it left a green trail ,same color as the object. This lasted maybe between 25 to 45 seconds but after it moved everything disappeared. But while I was looking at the object, I made sure there were no reflections from the car hood, windshield, or any nearby objects such as traffic lights causing a reflect! ion on my windshield. Approximate distance the object traveled was maybe 10-15 miles. Sorry but I didn't have time to get my camera out since I was driving and it was only for a very short time. I do not drink,smoke,or do drugs and my IQ is 155\
