Thousands of lights in sky some shooting beams at others, Orange orb at low altitude
This event was witnessed by my wife and I as we returned home to Panaca, NV from Las Vegas late one night. Dry Lake is about half way between Area 51 and Caliente, NV.
This event occurred approximately 25 miles after going through Alamo in a totally uninhabited stretch of the Great Basin Highway. Up in the sky there were thousands of lights and it looked like someone was pouring stars from heaven and there were also objects shooting beams at each other but all were too high in the sky to make out the shapes. In the mountains there were lights and since we traveled the road often at night we know no one lives in these mountains and there has never been any lights there before. I got out of the car over my wife's objections and tried to film this with her pocket camera but suddenly a white globe that was hovering over the mountain started spinning and turned orange and shot directly toward me at which time I took my wife's advice and got back in the car and g! ot out of there.
