Driving on the 101 freeway north between Lindero Canyon and Westlake Boulevard exits, watching a rather remarkable sunset, there suddenly appeared overhead quite high in the darkening sunset sky right in front of us, a rapidly falling white light. It had a firework appearance, a bright white light, appearing suddenly and falling rapidly, without any evident preceding upward trajectory or source.
It vanished before hitting ground well above the ground. Left a trail of white that dissipated slowly. No idea what it could have been.
