Is it a bird, a plane, what is it?
July4th, 2009 Approx. - 9PM Shavehead Lake, Union Michigan Looking at the East sky from directly across the tip of the peninsula as we are on the West side of the lake.
We were up at our lake house eagerly anticipating the 4th of July fireworks display that always proves to be pretty spectacular, when I noticed across the lake an unusually looking firework that appeared to be a slow moving glowing ball of fire that gently and gradually floated upward. I told my friend look at that….that is different type of firework, something we both never seen. As we both watched this ball of fire rise up almost until the human eye could not see it any more it veered off to the right and appeared to turn into a twinkling little white light almost star appearance? The person who I was with, said “she has to look into what this new type of firework is so she could get some. We both were mesmerized by this as we anticipated a big blast of some kind as normal fireworks displays usually have. But to our surprise, there was no blast or load noise of any kind. Then a few minutes later appearing in the same location across the night sky, and still before t! he fireworks display had started yet another one of these same strange appearing balls of fire started floating upward. This one was spaced out were the last one was so it was in the same local but North from the first ball of fire? Again, we watched this and were truly amazed by this gently floating glowing ball of something that veered off to the Right again and turned into a small looking star. Well we forgot all about this, until we received our Shavehead Lake Wave newsletter in the mail. Apparently, we were not the only ones who witnessed this event. As stated in the newsletter, “This year a STRANGE BALL OF FIRE moved slowly across the sky. Was it a plane on fire? Was it a comet? No one seems to know.” August 6, 2011 Approx. 9PM- So here it is, 3 years later at the same above location totally forgetting this above event even took place, when myself, a friend of mine, my daughter and her friend were eagerly anticipating our fire that we were so enjoying when at the tip of the peninsula appeared to be a slow moving uprising ball of fire. I was speechless, for a few moments and then shouted look you guys, OMG I have not seen this since a few years back on July 4th. We were all amazed in watching this. And again, this slow glowing ball of fire gradually moving upward until our eyes could not see it any more veered off to the South or Right and turned into what we thought a little white star or light. Well this appeared spaced out evenly with 8 balls of fire. You could only imagine the thrill for me to witness this event AGAIN. Everyone I was with couldn’t wait to go home and look this up on the internet. My friend looked up this on the net a few days later when we got home and told me! the same sightings were seen that same night…..in Michigan, by others directly East of Union, MI some 200-300 miles away ! I never told the others this, but later that night I had to walk my dog for one last time. It was quite late already after our fire and the others were in the house getting ready for bed. As I walked out towards the lake, I heard a very low sound and looked up above. I said, out load to myself, OMG I hope this is not the mother ship and was very frightened to have just seen this very low, very large looking what appeared to be a plane or I didn’t even want to know cuz I was frightened and just stood in amazement as it glided over my head out into the East sky. I stood waiting to see if those red balls of fire were going to go to this thing. But then I didn’t even want to know and went back into the house with my dog.
Just reporting this because last night on Coast to Coast AM- WLS-98AM Radio I caught a glimpse of your last name and want you to know about these 2 sightings.
