light moved from the nnw to the ssw then changed direction sharply and headed nnw, diffuse red in color.
While stargazing on May 25, 2009 at 12:45 A.M. I saw a light move from the north northeast, just above Vega, to the south southwest, in between Vega and Arcturus. I thought it was a shooting star but then it abruptly changed directions and headed north northwest. It was slightly red in color and slightly diffuse. In all my years at looking at the sky I have never seen anything like this! Although I am still skeptical, this sighting deserves a report.
