Light beam in New York City sky.
At around 8:00 pm I was walking to my apartment in Astoria, Queens. I was headed east. I looked up into the sky and I saw an orange beam of light that had a stretched oval shape travel across the sky from north to south. This light was traveling much more quickly than an airplane would. It appeared in the sky for about two seconds and then it vanished.
