Daytime ball of light flies at ground level only to disappear
I was relaxing on my bed watching TV and happened to look out my bedroom window (actually a glass sliding door) when I noticed something whiz by. It was a white ball of light about the size of a Baseball. The only thing I can compare it to is a large smokeless roman candle projection.
It was about 12 feet away from me and 6 feet off the ground. I got up and looked outside and saw nothing. As the ground is covered in snow (at least six inches) I expected to see a smoking visible hole as the trajectory would have had it slam into the side of a foothill behind my house. I found and saw nothing.
I considered it might be ball lightning but it was clear and about 30 degrees outside. It also made no sound I could hear.
