The skies were clear and the stars were very visible.
I was walking into Griffith Park in Los Angeles and happened to look up. Directly overhead I noticed a small light, very high and about the brightness of the stars in Ursa Major. It was moving south much slower than a satellite.
As I continued to watch it made a wide 90% turn to the west and slowly disappeared.
The whole sighting took about 2 minutes.
