Deep orange sphere travelling west then north west, picture taken. 6x witness.
I observed a very bright orange glow in the sky south of our home in the village of Midgham in West Berkshire UK aprox 10 miles due west of Reading, travelling in an westerly direction. The sky was very dark with high cloud cover. We live in a semi rural location with very little light polution.
At first I thought it was a plane, however, it was a very strong orange glow with no other lights evident and no flashing lights. It also appeared to be travelling quite fast. I ran into my house and asked my wife, 2x adult children, and 2 x family friends to come out and look. I had guessed the object would need to be observed from the rear of our property due to its speed and direction of travel.
We observed the object travelling west initially and then it appeared to travel in a north westerly direction. We did manage to get two faintish pictures with a family type digital camera. By zooming into one of the pictures on the PC there does appear to be an orange tail, however this is not conclusive.
The object was a constant colour of a deep orange
