bright light drops and disappears
My boyfriend and I were driving home and saw a bright beam of light flash in the sky (it was larger than a star), drop straight down, then disappear. It did not go all the way down to the horizon, it just disappeared mid-air. We both yelled, "did you see that?!" It definitely did not look like a meteor or shooting star.
