Bright light moving from NW to SE
On 10/11/08 about 19:00 I was on my back porch looking at the stars. The sky was clear and visibility good. I noticed a white light moving from the northwest towards the east. I first thought it was a satellite, but soon noticed it was much larger and brighter than any satellite I have ever seen. It was brilliant white, brighter and larger than Venus which was also visible in the southern sky. The light’s speed was similar to a high altitude commercial aircraft, and it changed it course slightly several times while I watched, finally arcing towards the southeast. I watched the light until it disappeared in the distance. The light’s brightness remained constant for the duration of the sighting.
