In the ssw, about degrees above the horizon, seemingly under some low clouds, my wife and I saw an upright cylinder shaped light that would brighten and fade intermittently. We watched the light for approx. 5min. When I went to get some binoculars and returned. the light was gone. This was on the west side of the Rio Grande in the Albuquerque area.
