It was 9:30 pm, I was at the University of british columbia, finishing up an exam. While walking out of the library, i looked up at the sky and noticed a neon greenish rod of light. it covered maybe 20 degrees of the sky. it was straight up ahead, very close to the moon.
there were also 2 others who spotted the light/rod before I did. they remarked that the light/rod was there last night as well.
it was a cloudy overcast nite, so the cloud cover was constantly drifing over the rod/light thing. but at all times, the rod could be seen.
the rod was neon green in colour, thin and rod like and a little bit faint.
