Dome shaped object slowly lowers out of cloud cover.

It was a cloudy Sunday afternoon March 16 2008. It was sprinkling rain on & off that day. I was headed through a coffee shop drive through when out of the corner of my eye i saw a dark black dome shaped objest slowly lowered out of the clouds. It lowered no farther than just below the cloud cover, just enough to be fully exposed. I couln't beleive what i was seeing. I aksed the coffee girl to take a look, she was as stunned as i was. We had no clue what we were looking at, I have never in my life seen anything like this. It didn't make any sudden moves or any noise that we could hear. I estimate it was the size of a large s.u.v. in diameter. and 10-15 feet tall. The clouds were very low so really is wans't too far off the ground, just enough to get a really good look at it. It gave me chills to see it. The objest just hovered for about 10 seconds before slowly rising and disapearing into the clouds.
