Strange Star formation with green and red lights
My 22-year-old son and I were outside trying to see the comet. After a while my son spotted a object that looked like a large star, but when looked at through binoculars, it appeared to have red and green lights flashing.
We watched it for a while, then decided to get a closer look and drove about five miles towards it, keeping an eye on the entire time. When we got closer, we saw another just like proximately ten inches (in the sky) to the right. Then we noticed three stars diagonally, in-between them. All five “stars” were in perfect alignment, almost in the shape of a cross.
* * * * * We watched them for about an hour and did not see anything else. I am not sure if the atmospheric conditions will make objects appear colored, but there was absolutely no mistaken the green and red we observed.
The objects did appear to change in an orbit pattern, so I am sure there is a reasonable explanation, I have just never seen that particular formation in the sky and wanted to have a record of it.
