White 'dots' moving in formation and changing course at hard angles, LA, CA, Oct 2007
My brother and I were sitting outside mid-October 2007 (Hollywood, CA) and I looked up to see what appeared to be a star "inside" the crescent moon (imagine the Turkish flag but with the star INSIDE the crescent). This, of course, was impossible. I pointed it out to my brother and then I saw it move...and I said "Ah, must be a plane". It continued for a few seconds on it's path and then stopped. And then I said "Ummm, that's not a plane". It was a white dot, basically. Way too high up to be a helicopter, and I don't know of any aircraft that can go that high and come to a stand-still. At this point we were fixated.
Suddenly - and I mean out of nowhere - two other dots appeared and seemed to fly in formation for a few seconds. The 1st one we had seen starting moving again and then changed course in a highly dramatic way - as in "right angles". The dots would appear and disappear. I then yelled over to my neighbor, who arrived with another adult friend and 2 children. We ALL saw these things. I grabbed my camera and filmed for a few seconds, capturing one of them on film (albeit just a white dot in a blue sky). On the audio track of it you can hear one of the kids getting scared, another kid saying "oooh i see them!". I called Andrews AFB and they ref'd me here. (I told the guy "Look, I'm not a UFO guy, but if you just look out your window towards the moon you'll see what I mean!".
I also called the air traffic control tower and the Dept. of Homeland Security at LAX and got answering machines. Go team! I have no idea what to suggest from this. By definition, they were UFO's.
I have zero affiliation with anything having to do with UFO's, this was just a crazy thing that 6 of us saw and I wanted to make a record of it here in case it helps.
