Fireball over Puget Sound
Sept. 29, 2006, 19:20 sailing of the Ferry Wenatchee between Colman terminal and Winslow (Bainbridge Island). My son and I observed a large greenish fireball arching from east to west, in the northern sky. The fireball lasted several seconds, before disappearing, but lasted long enough for both of us to get a very good light show. The fireball went from green to white before disappearing. We were standing on the front upper deck of the Washington State Ferry Wenatchee sailing west. Another couple standing with us also observed the object. The evening was clear and easy to distinguish between aircraft in the sky and what we observed.
Please note, this was NOT the fireball being reported in Eastern Washington on Oct 1, 2006
