2006-06-30 - Mollala, OR - Light

My friend and I were camping up in the Mollala Forest, right off the river at a spot people call Party Rock/Kager Rock. We had just laid down in our tent for the night a little after 10 p.m. As we laid there in the dark talking, with no lights on; all the sudden everything went silent. No forest sounds or noises of insects, animals, or even the sound of wind could be heard. We ourselves seemed to not be able to speak or move. All of the sudden a bright light, brighter than anything either one of us has ever seen before; pierced ours eyes over the top of our tent, yet we couldn't stop staring. It seemed to come out of nowhere. The incredibly bright light hovered over our tent for what seemed like seconds. No noise of an engine, or propellers could be heard. Everything seemed to be dead silent. Suddenly the light lifted, zoomed off at a high speed, and disappeared.
