2006-04-16 - Filmore, UT - Diamond

Big, black, diamond shaped object seen in the distance from Filmore, Utah

As we were driving north on I-15 past Filmore, I was sitting in the back seat of our car and I noticed a distant, big, black thing that seemed as if it was flying at around the speed we were traveling, because it constantly stayed in one spot of my view. I observed it for a moment but I couldn't figure out what it was, so I told my mom to take a look at it. She said that she could see it too. It was to the west of 1-15 and since it was about 8:45 pm, the sky was getting darker and darker, but there was still faint light so we could see the shadow of it in the sky. I would say it was about 100-200 feet of the ground and it flew at a constant speed until it seemed to disappear among the background of the mountains, but after a few minutes it reappeared again. I only saw one of them, and it was just big and black, and it was a diamond-shaped object. It emitted no lights whatsoever.
