2006-01-04 - Sequim, WA

5 brief but intense flashes of light at 4 minute intervals

January 4, 2006 A series of five flashes that came from the direction of Mt. Baker area. The light was brief but intense enough to illuminate the night sky for a minimum of +/-fifty miles in both directions from its source and lasted no more than 2 seconds each.

There was a total of five flashes and after the second one I timed them and they were +- 4 minutes apart. It looked like even distribution of light both directions which indicates a radial source rather than lightening strikes.

Pretty interesting anyway.
