Solitary light completed several repetetive flight maneuvers not possible by known aircraft.
This is not a firsthand witness account. My brother called me as he was travelling through the desert with his wife and 5 year old daughter. They had seen a light on or near the top of a mountain that began to 'fly' in a northward direction.
At one point it shot several miles strait up and then disappeared. It then returned to near it's original position and repeated the action. He had called me on the phone and was describing the events as they happened.
He pulled over and about 15 other vehicles did the same. One man was taking pictures (possibly video too) and they exchanged contact info.
My brother asked for the pictures/video and the man said he would email it as soon as possible. I will send it along with additional details when I receive it.
My brother described the light as being directional at times, but with no commercial aircraft attributes (ie no wing lights or strobes).
