Historical UFO sighting--July 1905.
A letter to the editor from The Oregonian on July 8, 1905, indicated a UFO sighting in the University Park neighborhood of of Portland. The craft "follow[ed] a course above the [Willamatte] River at a height that topped the hills by many feet".
According to as many as four people who saw the events separately, the craft was heading towards Portland (southeast).
