I WAS GOING OUTSIDE TO SMOKE A CIGARETTE BEFORE PUTTING MY 6 YEAR OLD SON TO BED. IT WAS STILL LIGHT OUT. HE AND I WENT OUTSIDE AND AS I TURNED TOWARD THE LAKE JUST BEHIND THE HOUSE I SAW A HUGE BLUE LIGHT JUST ABOVE THE TREE LINE. MY SON SAW IT TOO. WE WATCHED IT FOR WHATS SEEMED TO BE 5 MINUTES OR LESS BEFORE IT SHOT UP INTO THE SKY EXTREMELY FAST, in a diagonally direction towards the SW. Neither of us said anything as we were shocked at what wed seen. Then my son all of a sudden felt spooked and wanted to go back inside. When we got back inside, i noticed that a significant amount of time had passed, an hour or more and it was dark outside. That had me confused and still does. The incident seemed to last 10-15min max, so that time doesnt make sense. There was no sound from the object and i couldnt see much detail other than a huge glowing blue light in the shape of an oval.
