Extremely brilliant multi-colored symmetrical light source no sound hovering 1.5 minutes low in sky moving off at moderate velocity
At about 23:20 on 1/4/05 while watching television in a darkened room I observed a brilliant yet seemingly distant light through the french door onto our deck. I initially discounted it as a helicopter or other aircraft as our home is frequently overflown by the Carolinas Medical Center helicopter and commercial and private aircraft from the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (25-miles south) and the Concord Regional Airport (8 miles North).
