green fireball from sky falling very fast in the city
my husband and i were driving home from dairy queen in the evening. it was very dark and we were near the outskirts of the city. suddenly, i saw a green light falling straight down from the sky and it looked like it was burning up, and there was even a trail of smoke behind it. first, i thought it might have been a firecracker fizzling out, but there had been no sound. i don't know what it was, i thought maybe a meteor, but it would have landed on the road since it was headed there and only about 30 feet in front of us. it just disappeared. it happened so quickly, my husband never saw it because i had to lean forward to see it well.
