The object appeared to be a small rapidly flashing light. The object was traveling Southwest at about 40 mph, at 1000-2000 ft, I noticed an airliner heading North. This airliner had the normal lights. Suddenly the light increased speed and altitude and passed the jetliner on the left. The light continued Southwest at high speeds until it dissapeared on the horizon. The craft made no sound. There was a helicopter shining a spotlight.
