a moving object seen in the distant stars
We were at a lakeside watching the stars and one of us pointed out a distant "star" that was moving, it went from 12 o,clock then straight across to the right for a sec. then down to 5 o'clock, then further down, up again, then across to 9 o,clock. Then it disappeared from our view.It seemed rather random, but it must a have been hundreds of thousands of miles away, travelling great distances, in the space of seconds.
