silent craft followed highway
My girlfriend and I were traveling from LA to Chicago. It was night time in Colorado (could have been Utah, it has been 9 years), but up above I saw a pattern of lights (craft) that was following the highway. After 10-20 minutes of seeing this craft, I pulled off the highway to get a better look.
We stopped my SUV and got out. The craft made no noise, and moved at a constant speed above. It was either the a blimp, or something else, I have never seen any air vehicle but a lighter than air craft move at that low an altitude and speed for that long.
The lights/craft continued to move in the same direction at a constant speed (following the highway) for about 45 min to an hour. Like stated above, it was either a blimp, or something unknown.
It couldn't have been missed, and it was up there for quite some time. I have always wondered if anyone but us saw this silent craft.
I'd love to find out if there was any corroboration or if it was just a blimp following the highway.
I am an amateur air enthusiast, and could identify most planes by sight. This was nothing I was familiar with.
