Shape shift from triangle to 1/2 circle then to 2 ovals hten fade.
About 3 weeks ago I experinced something in the sky unexplainable. I was sitting at Craig airport waiting on a cargo plane and suddenly noticed a glowing object out of the corner of my eye. It had a triangle shape to it and was sitting about 800 to 1000 feet up in the sky at the north east edge of the airfield. As I watched it it began to change from its original triangle shape to a half circle then split into two smaller ovals and then fade out as if they had a dimmer switch. I sit at this airfield M-F every week for the past two years meeting planes and know this was no airplane. This was to say the least a very strange sight and have not seen it since.
((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. We, at first, thought that the witness might have observed a missile launch out of Cape Canaveral, perhaps the launch of a Titan-4-B at 00:29 hrs. on September 12, 2003. However, Jacksonville, FL, is to the north of Cape Canaveral, and any launch would have been visible in the southern sky, from the vantage point of the witness. PD))
