the object was a very bright oval light with no sound
I was sitting on my back porch around 9:00 pm with a pair of binoculors which I often do on clear nights. All of a sudden a very bright light comes out of the northwestern sky heading southeast to Peconic Bay. Using the binoculars there were no blinking lights or sound of any kind indicating an aircraft. Just a very bright oval light and it traveled in a straight line until I lost sight of it. Just wondering if anyone else saw the same thing.
