Human or Spaceman like object seen slowly floating down from sky, within a few hundred yards from us, landing in a neighborhood.

This event happened years ago, around 2003 or 2004 while I was still in high school. A friend and his family had a party/bbq that I was invited to so I stayed the night and was going to get picked up by my parents the next morning. Naturally, being teens we stayed up late, hung out in the garage/driveway playing music, talking & skateboarding. The house was on the east side of our city and on a slope up the hill that gave us a slight view of the city & its lights at night.

Around midnight or 1am, we(my friend and our other friend) were standing outside talking when I noticed a dim lighted object out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head to it and squinted my eyes since it wasn’t in the shape of something I would be used to seeing in the sky. After having a confused face on and trying to figure out if what I was seeing is real, my friends look up and have the same reaction while using certain words to express our confusion.

We saw what we call to this day as “the space man”, an object that looked to be in the shape of a human standing up. While not lit up directly with street lights or anything of the sort, it had a slight glow or inner light to him if that makes any sense but it was very dim and you would only notice a shadow like figure at first until your eyes adjusted. The strangest part was it did not seem that high from us and within the span of 5 mins, it went from maybe a 45 degree angle to us, to floating SLOWLY down behind some trees at the bottom of his driveway and only 2 or 3 football fields away in the neighborhood. After we lost sight we wanted to go down and see where it might have landed but realized that with it being 1am, his parents not wanting us to go anywhere and being on the eastside of our city; any contact with potential officers or concerned neighbors would not be ideal.

We kind of bring it up every once and a while but I never knew where to share this or if others have seen it. I found these two searching the site that are the closest to what we experienced. I also saw a while back that in mexico they are called witches but I am not sure if what we saw fits explanations of those sightings since they tend to actually “fly” and not float or slowly fall like this thing.
