Fireball inbound for NORAD.
A large fireball came across the San Luis Valley in mid to late August this year. Astronomers from the Colorado Museum of Natural History said it was a meteor, and from the many eyewitness accounts it would have been about 2-3 tons when it entered the atmosphere and it gave off several sonic booms. It came to earth somewhere in the La Garita mountains. Scientists and locals flocked to the hills without finding a trace. All local papers reported on it for a week or two, including the Denver Post.
The strange thing is, that from NORAD it must have looked like a 2.5 ton object heading straight for Cheyenne Mountain as it was inbound. I find it amazing that they did not track it, and could not give the museum a trajectory and velocity on the thing. It makes me suspicious about the true nature of the object.
No wonder we can't hit Mars.
