Very bright glowing object would drop suddenly and rise again...and stay still. Looked like Venus, but moved
I woke up my daughter to show her what I was observing over the Sea of Cortez... over an island..a hovering very bright light. It would stay still for a few minutes, then just dive down toward the ground and stop. Then it would go up again...quickly move from side to side. I have never seen anything like it. It looked very much like Venus, but it obviously moved as we compared its position to the island below it.
