Three of us were standing outside in the dark. We observed how clear the night sky was and could see some constellations. Two moving objects that were not stars were overhead. They seemed to fly closer than airplanes fly. One had lights that quickly chased around it in a straight line. The other had a more sporadic light pattern going all over it. They crossed paths and moved in opposite directions in the sky. All three of us stood together and tried to rationalize what the objects could be. None of us had seen anything like this before. We watched the objects for several minutes.
