Object observed for 40 minutes in daylight fits no known aircraft descriptions.
It was late morning, clear sky and bright sun. It appeared as a stationairy white dot in the sky, much like a night star, but it was bright daylite, and did not twinkle. It did not seen to move up or down or any other direction. I observed it in the same location over a 40 minute period. I looked away and checked for it again and it was gone. It was a great deal higher than any aircraft and was visible too long to be a satilite.
((NUFORC Note: We have amended the date to 2001. The witness confirmed a typo. PD))
