A few years ago, my family and I took a trip to visit my grandfather’s hometown in La Madrid, Coahuila. This is a small town in Mexico surrounded by the Sierra Madre Mountains. About eight of us went on a tour of my uncle’s ranch where he raises goats for a living. He is a goat shepherd and lives looking after these goats in the mountains. We spent the whole day climbing a hill trying to get to the top. It was about a mile up to the top. It took about 2 hours to go up and come back down. At about 6 or 7 pm, the sun started to set. There was still daylight out so we started packing up and heading back to my uncle’s house. It was a long drive. Four of us had to ride in the back of the truck so we had a clear view of the skies. It was a clear winter day. This was during Christmas week because I remember spending Christmas Eve in Monclova, Coahuila the next day. As we drove we noticed a white light right above the mountain top. It just stayed there f! or a few minutes but we thought it might be lights from a car driving down a road so no one really paid much attention. I was sitting facing the light so from time to time during the chatter with everyone I would look toward the light. I noticed it started moving in a direct line as if driving the same way we were going. I thought it was odd a vehicle would be driving so slow. At this time I brought the attention to everyone else in the group. We weren’t familiar with the area so we all thought there was a road on the mountain. We asked my uncle and he said no, it is not possible to drive that far up the mountain. We then realized he was right. As we turned a corner we could see the light was not on the mountain, but hovering over it. We all gasped and watched as it got nearer to us increasing in size. At first it was so far away it seemed like white car lights, but as it got closer we realized it was one ball of light. Like an orb, like a meteor. This orb was t! raveling horizontally across the mountain so we knew it wasn’t! a meteo r. It never turned off but kept moving at a slow pace as if trying to see what we were up to. We tried recording it on camera but it was too dark to see. This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. My uncles said they see things like this from time to time and other strange things too. I don’t know what it was, but I know what it wasn’t. This orb didn’t shoot across the sky and dissappear, no as we got further and further away it traveled back behind the mountain until we couldn’t see it anymore. This was no flashlight, it had to be bigger than our truck judging from the size and proximity to us in the sky. Very strange. I have no reason to lie or make this up. This is what we all saw and to this day from time to time we talk about it, not knowing how to explain it. No there were no sounds coming from this orb. It was very silent. We were in a remote location, far from any noise of traffic, there were no airplanes or aircraft of any kind in the skies. This was about eleven years ago. I didn't know we could report these sightings.
