Bright White Falling star w. tail that changed direction then shot back up into the atmosphere all within a few seconds.
I was travelling NE and saw a very bright white light that seemed like a falling star with a long tail. It was directly in front of my field of vision but was very far away. To my astonishment after seeing this light coming straight down, a similar bright light appeared many miles west and shot back up into the atmosphere at an even faster velocity and disappeared immediatly. It all occurred in a matter of a few seconds and I felt that I witnessed something pretty bizarre!
