2000-07-10 - Lithgow (NSW, Australia) - Cross

My family,friends and I were camping at Newnes a camp site near Lithgow inside a National Park. We had done a Canyon that day and everybody except for me and my mate were already in bed. We were drinking our second beer when I think my mate said look at that and we saw what we first thought was a satalite, but the object zoomed across the sky like nothing I ever seen than came to a complete stop and hovered above the trees. By this time we were quiet excited and yelled out to everybody else the only person that heard me was my step mother who could not be bothered getting up. The objected sort of hovered up and down until it dissappeared below the tree line. The object looked like a 4 pointed star with a red glow around the outside it was a constant glow not flashing like an aircraft. The object would have been a few Kilometers away.
