I caught it on Hi-8 digital tape about five thousand feet above the southern end of the hudson river. The object is bright white on top and the bottom of it turned bright red as if it were firing its engine. It was hovering near the Verrazano Bridge. I didn't realize I had it on tape until I was dubbing the tape on 01/02/01.
