Observed bright green light fall with no tail, fragment into bright orange-yellow lights that remained in a stationary position.
May 30, 2000 at exactly 10:07pm. I observed a consistent, bright green light with no tail appear falling from 35 degrees high from observation point. The green light reached the top of a visible thunderhead and it fragmented with no terminal flash into two bright orange-yellow lights that had a similarity to flares. Next one of the two lights separated into a total of four bright orange-yellow lights. The objects became brightly illuminated for a few seconds and faded-out in a stationary position above the cloud top.
((NUFORC Note: The date of the sighting may be approximate, although the witness does not indicate that fact. One of two reports from same source. PD))
