A very bright object passed between the trees very fast with no sound.
I was sitting outside on a clear night a little after 10pm. I glanced up and saw the brightest object I've ever seen speed by between two tall trees. It was not high in the sky, like a falling star. Planes fly over all the time so I have an idea of the size of aircraft related to distance and sound.
This object was well within the atmosphere and made no noise! It was definitely going faster than the speed of sound but no sound followed. There was no tail of light. I don't believe it was a meteor or it would have landed on the houses nearby. It was going in a horizontal position in the sky.
It was very strange.
