Red/Orange light in the sky.
About an hour after the New Year came my friends and I noticed and red/orange light in the sky. It was way off in the distance, but brighter than any planet or star. It traveled downward about 10 degrees, and held it's position for around 10 minutes. My friends and I were sure it was nothing we had seen before. Eventually it just disappeared. It was incredible and didn't scare us at all but rather mesmerized us.
