An amber light was moving slowly over the hills from east to west. It suddenly blinked out and then blinked on again a few seconds later over the Ohio River. This time it was mostly white with a tinge of amber and brighter.
I was driving south on Rt.2 when I noticed an amber light some distance ahead moving slowly over the hills in a westerly direction. It appeared to be at a low altitude. The light suddenly blinked out and several seconds later blinked on again. This time it was white with a tinge of amber color and brighter. It approximate location at this time was over the Ohio River on the same trajectory. It disappeared again but I dont know if it blinked out or moved away rapidly as my attention was diverted for a few seconds to oncoming traffic and a line of trees obscured my vision. However, when I looked again the light was no longer there. There were no lights like it in the vicinity. The skies were clear as I could see the lights of planes at higher altitudes and the stars.
