Slow moving burning rock, flying in a horizontal line feet away from me
This was quite a few years back, maybe 10,
I was young and I went out into my back garden to see some shooting stars as it was apparently the best night in the year for seeing them, I saw a few and then I heard a very strange noise and out of nowhere a medium sized rock, seemingly on fire (red and burning) flew past my head, it went past quite slowly (less than 2 feet away from me) in a straight precise horizontal line.
I have no idea if this was something to do with shooting stars or whatever else it could be, it is a vivid childhood memory and I know what I saw but have never been able to understand it.
