Sighting off the coast of Maine
I saw this when I was 18. It was the summer of 1998. I was walking down a dirt road in a remote island 12 miles off the coast of Maine. I was with a friend who was about 7yrs older than me. We stopped to talk for a minute when from out of nowhere a red light appeared. It stopped completely still in front of us but it was too far away to tell what shape the aircraft was. After hovering for about a minute it turned green and sped off to my left and completely disappeared.
